Core Microbiota Promotes the Development of Dental Caries

چکیده

A previous longitudinal study about using microbiome as a caries indicator has successfully predicted early childhood (ECC) in healthy individuals, but there is no evidence to verify the composition of core microbiota and its pathogenicity vitro vivo. Biofilm acidogenicity, S. mutans count, biofilm were estimated by pH evaluation, colony-forming unit, quantitative PCR, respectively. Extracellular polysaccharide production enamel demineralization observed confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) transverse microradiography (TMR), rat model was established for dental formation vivo, lesions quantified Keyes Scoring. We put forward that including Veillonella parvula, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Prevotella denticola, Leptotrichia wadei served predictors ECC may be ECC. This found produced limited acid, promoted growth acidogenic ability mutans. Besides, could help promote development biofilms. Moreover, enhanced increased cariogenic potential These results proved plays an important role

Dental caries and microbiota in children with black stain and non-discoloured dental plaque.

AIM We aimed to assess caries experience and microbiota in systemically healthy children with black stain (BS) and non-discoloured plaque. METHODS Forty-six children with BS and 47 counterparts with non-discoloured plaque aged 7.9 ± 1.3 years were clinically examined. Dental caries was scored using WHO criteria. Samples of BS and non-discoloured dental plaque were collected from tooth surface...

The role of early dietary habits in dental caries development.

Early Childhood Caries (ECC) is a serious dental condition that occurs during the first three years of life and is associated with the early intake of sugary foods, drinks, or snacks. There is now evidence that early malnutrition episodes could lead to delay in the eruption of primary teeth and possibly to increased caries prevalence. Significant correlations are present between the intakes of ...
